I'll update these in time, but here's some basic info about the Space Destiny project! This page has already gotten more attention than I expected, and I'm excited to keep yall posted! #indiedev #gamedev #queerdev

The adventures of a woman named Venus, her best friend, the aforementioned mysterious scientist, and the other members of the ship's growing crew as they deal with the absurdity of a universe that's so much bigger than anyone could have daydreamed. It is also: A VN/dating-sim-esque game, currently being built in Ren'Py and PyGame. A loving homage to the pulpy, horny worlds of vintage science fiction. A game featuring kinky queer people BY kinky queer people. Blue text that reads: What will this look like? A whole lot of story. There are currently two full chapters (and two interludes) plotted out, and the plot is just getting started! A projected wordcount of around 7K per social plot, with an aim for 5 crew members available by the end of the first chapter, and more on the horizon. A colorful background cast, each with their own stories and plenty of things they'd love to hire an enterprising spacer to take care of. A variety of minigames, such as RPG-style combat and Raygun Roulette. ...and so much more. As a solo dev, I want to be careful about the promises I make. That doesn't mean I'm not dreaming big, though! Where can I play this? My current plan is to release on Itch.io, though I might see about Steam if there is demand. I have no clue about if the game will run on various systems. As I'm using Ren'Py as a base, I'm pretty sure it should work on Windows, and might need a launcher for Mac. Linux people... I'm sure you can figure something out. I intend to start publishing the moment I have completed the Minimum Viable Product (a rudimentary version of Chapter 0). The main hurdles there are making the art and figuring out how to make combat happen. From there, I intend to regularly post updates with bug fixes and the like, as well as additional story chunks as they are created. Purple text that reads: Supporting Space Destiny. Every like and follow is a huge motivation boost, even just the knowledge that there are eyes on this project gives me drive to keep pushing. If you have advice about Ren'Py or PyGame and don't mind fielding some basic questions, I'd be more than happy to draw stuff in return! If you have interest in commissioning me as an artist or writer, please reach out! I am unemployed at the moment, so every bit counts (smiley face emoticon). And if you'd be interested in seeing SD on Patreon, I'd be absolutely blown away. It seems like a bit of a pipe dream at the moment, bit if I were able to pay rent, I could treat SD as a full-time job!
