The whole thing is trying to confuse him post snap. Slows his process, results in the pressures/sacks/bad decisions. If you just show him your hand, we’ll, he’s actually pretty good there

I think where Harbaugh benefited him was presnap. Lots of emphasis into it, lots into getting the formations right. But his post snap ability to read defenses, which gets so much harder in the NFL, always pretty consistently lapsed, even with limited concepts.

Easy to see that turning into sacks

Do they have a SB OL? The rest, I agree, just not sure I see the OL regardless of QB

Sack rate is terrible though a bit hard to parse out given it’s hit all Vikings QBs this year. End of the day, I don’t think you can take much away from just 3 starts besides he’s obviously not there yet and the leash gets shorter next year. Beyond that, I dunno

I’m a Michigan fan but think people were pretty dishonest with where JJ was as a prospect.

There are things for the NFL he was prepped for. A wide range of pass concepts was not one (few concepts, tons of formations). He has tools, but was bailed out by his own ability to scramble drill a ton too

Even discounting the INT as a bad read, being 17/22 for 220 and 1:1 TD:INT ratio looks way different. It’s something you need to learn (and be taught)

It’s not a big OL with 3 RS FR and an undersized C. But they have gotten some push tonight

We all love an easy TD and there’s something to be said about not always doing things the hard way. But up 4 against a team that hasn’t stopped the run and the pass has been awful. Time to bully buddy
