Mayor Richardson and Orbital OPS Schleuniger & COO Doherty did a convo: The vehicle will be built around the company’s proprietary 10,000lbs thrust engine. Astraeus delivers 10km/s of Delta-v, so the vehicle can be stationed in LEO & rapidly move to a target orbit when needed.

A great discussion panel at @aiaaerospace.bsky.social ASCEND conference in Las Vegas focused on Building Sustainable Infrastructure on the Moon. It’s encouraging to see so many innovative surface power and operations concepts coming from industry. Now, we just need to get there!

I’m at the @aiaaerospace.bsky.social ASCEND conference in Las Vegas; NASA CFO nominee Greg Autry is speaking at a session on The Future of Finance at NASA. He made a great point that launch cost reductions are starting to resemble Moore’s law - and space progress may accelerate rapidly as a result.

Just got back from a weekend trip to Death Valley National Park. If you haven’t been, it’s beautiful - and a sunny 81 degrees on March 1st is pretty nice!
