Make it internally installable to a SSD and I'd consider giving it a chance over Proxmox.

If you were to hook up a SSD as a USB, potentially. But everything I've seen online is that their installer writes the OS to a USB. I've not seen anything of someone putting it on an internal drive.

Instructions unclear, ran "sudo rm -rf /*" and now I'm crying trying to reinstall arch.

At least try TrueNAS before you do. Unpaid is flashed to a USB and only runs from that usb. The license is tied to it so if that dies you have to get a hold of support to try and transfer your license.

I'm in that boat with Light Fingers. Still says it's gonna come out on Xbox and PC. PC has a demo, Xbox has nothing. Only has a full release on Switch which is one of the few reasons I have a switch.
