All opinions are the result of consensus reached by the spiders psionically controlling me.
Do you know if he made targeted derogatory comments about other staff? If not their hands may have legitimately been tied, at least in regards to termination. (Even if that was the case, management still should have sat him down and told him to stop being weird at work though).

Here’s mine btw, it’s a war game, not a ttrpg (although I’ve seen people adapt the rules into one). It’s the only rulebook I’ve come across so far that openly encourages smashing power gamers’ hands with a hammer.

The unfortunate reality is most consumers are disengaged from how the sausage is made- if the slop is presentable enough they will eat. I think RAM prices and data centers slurping up water are gonna be our best talking points going forwards because they affect many more people directly.

I’ve never heard of this so thanks for the new rabbit hole to go down tonight.

What’s the weirdest/ most obscure rulebook you own.

Claiming HOI4 as a root cause for that is wild. Did they just miss the decades worth of pop-history books that exist solely to glaze the panther?

I suppose a more succinct way of putting it would be “if you can’t count the number of contributors on your hands anymore you need a dedicated producer”

I think this sheen of “seriousness” will help the modding scene immensely, one of the big issues I see ambitious fan projects struggle with is a failure to weed out “idea guys” who talk a big game but flake when they realize they’ll have to do actual work.

Imagine he just drops the most delicate, porcelain-faced ork Nob ever witnessed completely unprompted.

You will learn the brutal agony your 25-times great grandfather experienced fruitlessly searching the Mesopotamian hills to find tin ore.

My hope is that the small indie teams making wildly successful games that blow up on twitch today will grow into AA and maybe even AAA studios ten to fifteen years from now. Never forget, blizzard entertainment began as a room of unwashed 20-somethings and an idea.

Obviously this is much easier said than done as it means forgoing investor capital, but stuff like outersloth has shown there IS a path forward outside the clutches of Wall Street.

It would be a dream. If any junior writing roles open up I’ll apply for sure.

How much do I have to bribe you to get HK-47 as a companion again.

There is, I shit you not, an entire arc in the ghazghull book that is just “ghazghull fights his most difficult foe yet: depression” and it actually extremely inspiring.

Turning Stalin into a marketable cartoon pig seems like the ultimate humiliation and I’m kinda down for that.

Depends on how strict the criteria are. If we’re talking a loose “how many times can we re-release this game” I don’t think anything comes close to the five todd-illion different variations of Skyrim.

Filled it out, I can’t wait! Also did the expression of interest form, I’d love to contribute if you do this again.
