when will we on the left learn to win instead of just whining about how awful the others are? what ever else she did she built a business and attracted a buyer who paid her millions and gave her a bigger job - now she either succeeds or fails publicly what's the big deal?

i think you’re being disingenuous, i’m a lay person and my views are informed by reporting in the nyt, atlantic, etc. on the topic. seems like the issue isn’t the protocol but whether it’s followed by folks like yourself and MDs.

not sure I understand your point but the Case report was compelling if that's what you're talking about. If the protocol is minor child declares they're trans and that declaration is immediately accepted without interrogation and you then progress to hormone blocking then there's a problem

thanks for the professional insights, really, much appreciated - clearly a wise and thoughtful approach that i hope is the standard. clearly the outlier stories tend to get all the headlines which is sadly so damaging. this should be about parents and medical professionals not culture warriors.

The argument, as I understand it from people like Andrew Sullivan is not about folks like your child, but the prepubescent who are perceived to have been rushed into changing their genders that’s where I think the controversy liesanyway appreciate the response. You’re clearly a loving parent.

pretty sure some were along the line but to your point, not nearly as many trans folks (out at least I guess you'd say) as gay, so yes, I'll concede the point. fwiw, i was kid when Grossman (I think that's the name) got the first conversion surgery in NJ

did your child transition pre puberty? if yes, was there extensive exploration of where their dysphoria originated before landing on a conclusion that they were trans after which puberty blockers, etc were employed?

as a dad of two girls, that one got my attention pretty damn quick, I didn't need right wing nazi's to get me to pay attention. folks who want to help trans people are hurting them every day with this insistence that children should just get to announce "i'm trans" and that's it, no questions
