I feel like the first edition of L5R, a player tanks their social scores and users their knack for winning over the GM through role-playing while the other player focused on their social stats and rolled well but the GM doesn't really respect it? It's an example of what not to do though.

I've always wanted to play in a west matches campaign as it's the closest to maintaining an ongoing rp scene in an mmo but I wouldn't want to be the one of the ones dm/gm
