Hell, even "infantilises its audience" feels kinda condescending, like the people who liked the film are stupid for "falling for" said infantilisation.

Hell, even "infantilises its audience" feels kinda condescending, like the people who liked the film are stupid for "falling for" said infantilisation.
I overall agree with the sentiment, but the example given does rub me up the wrong way. “A movie for babies” feels less like a critique and more like just attacking people who do enjoy the film, which isn’t really any better than attacking those who didn’t.
