You know that and I know that, but a lot of people on the internet are a lot less charitable when comes to interpreting a poor choice of words.
Hell, even "infantilises its audience" feels kinda condescending, like the people who liked the film are stupid for "falling for" said infantilisation.

I overall agree with the sentiment, but the example given does rub me up the wrong way. “A movie for babies” feels less like a critique and more like just attacking people who do enjoy the film, which isn’t really any better than attacking those who didn’t.
