Finished "Where the Crawdads Sing" and there was one thing that stood out to me narratively: how well Owens manages to obscure whether the protagonist is actually guilty, without being on the nose about it or even seemingly out of character.

Immer wenn ich grad nichts zum hören habe leihe ich die erste verfügbare literary fiction aus, deren Titel mit was sagt
"I Who Have Never Known Men" ist so ein Buch wo schöner Erzählstil und interessanter Hook dich vergessen lassen dass die Geschichte am Ende irgendwie nirgends hinführt 😄

Love the hook of the story as well as the worldbuilding, but can't help myself thinking that its getting a bit monotonous 2/3 in.
The writing sometimes has a little too much pathos for my taste, feels a bit clumsy here and there - but alas its a debut novel, its fine :)

Mein Paket wurde so weit weg angegeben, für mich war eine Stadtparkdurquerung inklusive lol
(Was an sich nice ist. Dann hat es allerdings angefangen zu pladdern und ich hatte mein Paket UND meinen neuen Merinopulli, den ich für 20€ im neuen 2nd Hand Laden hier geschossen habe, in den Händen 🙃)
