Remember, turkey bones, veg peelings, egg shells and all other food waste belong in your food waste bin, NOT in your recycling bin (that could result in recycling being rejected).
Thank you for helping to keep recycling clean this Christmas!

Food waste can pile up over the holidays. To save waste and save money - if you have leftovers, why not try freezing them for later, sharing extras with friends or turning them into a new meal. Every bit saved makes a difference!

Too much recycling to fit in your green bin with the lid closed? Please put it in a cardboard box, or in a clear plastic sack, and place it out by your green bin on your next recycling collection day.

Please DON’T bin any broken fairy lights or used batteries:
- Small electricals, such as broken Christmas lights - go in a tied carrier bag next to your black bin
- Used batteries - go in a clear bag on top of your recycling bin. NEVER put them inside a bin as they are a major fire risk!

Old tinsel scraps and broken baubles can’t be recycled! So, please pop them in your general waste bin, not your recycling bin. Thank you!

Letting sexism slide puts women and girls at risk. Sexist jokes, catcalling, staring and comments might seem harmless, but they are serious because they can lead to violence and abuse. This White Ribbon Day, more men are being urged to use their voices and speak up.
