Yeah. It is my skillset, but creative fields, especially indie publishing, are their own unique thing. I know, like, tech and regulated industries. I wouldn’t know where to start with publishing. Mad respect to everyone who does.

In college, every essay that is plagiarized fails. Every rubric should be read with an unspoken “but if you plagiarize you automatically get a zero even if you otherwise meet the rubric”.
Also she made no arguments at all and wasn’t in the least coherent.

Her daughter has agency. She could have gone to any number of people at the school and said “my mother is forcing me to do this help me”. The fact she didn’t is absolute proof she is in on this.

Nah. She was trying to be hateful she and her mother have said so. That would have gotten her investigated at the Catholic uni I went to. She deserved the zero because she had no property cited sources. Doesn’t matter what else said. No sources = plagiarism = fail. Thats academia 101.

Nope. There were ways for her to use the Bible in an academic way as a legit source. She chose not to do that for the express stated purpose of causing problems for trans people and getting the TA fired.

She got a zero because she didn’t cite anything properly. Thats plagiarism and deserves a zero. Even if it was the best essay every written she should still have gotten a zero without citations. Period.
