To be clear, that’s not a dig on any of those songs I listed, I love all of them lol

It’s definitely not forgotten, but I don’t think it’s revered quite on the same level as songs like “Strawberry Wine” or “Independence Day” or even “She’s In Love With The Boy” in the pantheon of incredible 90s female country

I must commend your inclusion of “Maybe It Was Memphis”

That’s one of my favorite songs of the 90s, but I don’t think it gets nearly enough credit among the classics nowadays

I’ve heard OF “Butterfly Kisses” but not that version of it

Even the original version, I’ve never actually heard

Also, one correction, I actually have heard “Romeo”, I think my parents had the album with that song on it

I only remember thinking it was ridiculous, but in an amusing way

Of all the songs you listed for the worst, “Don’t Take The Girl” is the only one I’ve heard or even heard of

But dammit, I love that song 😔

I’ll be honest, I actually like “Cars” a lot, definitely more than I should

I was 10 in 2006, so nostalgia is probably part of it, and I do still love the soundtrack

Also, the one truly great thing about the actual movie for me is the ending, which leaves a better impression

I think it’s kinda similar to Avatar’s success, in the respect that it checks off most basic plot and emotional beats efficiently enough to get a pass, while also looking nice

Plus “Cars” has a killer soundtrack that has stuck around

If it was possible to vote for kings, I would vote for you on those grounds alone

Especially if the Christmas car commercials get the death penalty

I thought it was a fine finale, but I still couldn’t explain why I immediately felt the need to listen to Steve Harrington’s “End Of Beginning” so much 😂
January 5, 2026 at 2:32 AM
Dang it, I love See You Again, it’s seriously one of my favorite songs of hers
January 1, 2026 at 12:35 AM
Assuming we’re talking about the original country version, because the pop radio version is absolutely over the top and ridiculous
December 31, 2025 at 6:17 PM
I always thought this song got too much hate

It’s nothing exceptional, but I think it’s nice
December 31, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Oh wow, “Meanwhile” is one of my favorite George Strait songs
December 30, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Only other hit country song that does this topic is Hardy and Lauren Alaina’s “One Beer”, at least that I can remember
December 29, 2025 at 7:56 PM
This is my favorite Kenny Chesney song

Actually they beat Cleveland in the Wild Card Series, and only lost to Seattle 3-2 in the AL Division Series

It was at least a respectable playoff performance

Beautiful movie

I used to have a toy snowman modeled after this one as a kid
December 26, 2025 at 1:08 PM
I mean, she should’ve done a “Big” homage for “Manchild”

Since it’s literally about a child in a man’s body
December 23, 2025 at 1:42 PM
Oh believe me, I’m well aware of that connection and I find it eternally ironic

I don’t think Joey Moi became a good producer until his Big Loud days

I actively despise Twitter, but I still use it because I am addicted and weak

A whole bunch of people I like online are still only on Twitter and FOMO is a big thing for me
December 22, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Being too nasal was a significantly bigger problem for me trying to enjoy FGL than it is for Morgan Wallen
December 22, 2025 at 5:41 PM
I don’t agree, but hey, that’s why we’re all allowed to have different tastes

Some people think Nickleback sounds good, but that could never be me
December 22, 2025 at 5:40 PM
But even for me, I will not disagree that his albums have been too long

I was fine with it just for “Dangerous”, but 3 straight 30+ song albums is just too much

Especially on the last one which is so overwhelmingly dour, minor key, and depressing
December 22, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Yeah, the big difference is that I actually love his singing voice, and that leaves me predisposed to liking most of his songs

I actually didn’t like his first couple singles at the time, but “Chasin’ You” his cover of “Cover Me Up”, and “7 Summers” basically won me over permanently back in 2020
December 22, 2025 at 5:18 PM
Even as a defender of that album, I’ve never liked the title track
