Well, not everything. The books obviously cost, and the academic papers may require some sort of fee depending on which portal used to access but I read stuff for free on JSTOR.org regularly. There are many free podcasts and YouTube videos featuring the scholars as well.

Might just be the goal of this universe (I.E. GOD), to experience the love the universe wants to feel by interacting with those different from us with compassion and understanding. If we as a species can turn the ship on a path towards compassion, rather than competition and hate we might survive.

And maybe, the goal of all this evolution, we with our big old brains that can design fiber optics that can carry unimaginable amounts of data at light speed across the planet, but can’t figure out how to love our neighbors, live with compassion, just love. How that circle of me and the mouse.

I think my point is, why would biology and chemistry and all the other laws of nature evolve a brain that is so far beyond all the other brains? It’s a runaway train evolutionarily. We are essentially a runaway parasite on this planet with the power to destroy it or make it a beautiful garden.

Yeah strong people all have their individual methods. Weaker people kind of need every leg up they can get.

Not sure what you mean about open access but several of their staff have popular books out. Bruce Greyson and Jim Tucker and Ed Kelly. Their published research is all available.

All living beings connect spiritually but we are the ones to obtain the ability to know it?

Why did a species evolve to be able to ponder such things? Could it be that our brains are like radio receivers, and once our brains evolved enough to be able to tune into the cosmic truth, whatever it is, through meditation/other methods, we are the ones who evolved to connect to god cognitively?

Is it the one who lives stressed out with goals and targets and economics and politics? Or is it the species that can hop around in the forest munching on seeds and having babies, with nothing to worry about beyond the occasional hawk or fox?

Have you heard of the University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies? It’s got scientists that study reincarnation, NDEs, telepathy, consciousness, remote viewing with scientific rigor. Many great books and papers come out of there.

Ah. I think we might agree a bit. Yes it might make lazy people be lazy I agree. I just think that most people, me included are inherently lazy and my stated opinions about labels were for the betterment of lazy people.

Nice. I’ve never shot in Reidsville but did a project a few years ago on abandoned textile mills. It was pretty sad actually, all the formerly bustling towns now hurting. I’m from Greensboro but live in Winston now so not too far away from there.

I think all things like this have value, as long as we don’t go labeling ourselves with presupposed personality traits, because leaning on those traits can let us be lazy about developing our weaker traits.

Doing good how are you? Sorry I don’t hang out on the internet all day, just getting back here.

And as a result, perhaps “God” is simply consciousness, and the consciousness we and other beings experience is like waves in an ocean, individual to an extent, so we have personal identification but also part of the whole. Our consciousness is God essentially, or part of God anyway.

Oh yes. Have you ever heard of the double split experiment, or other quantum experiments that seem to say that the existence of matter is dependent on a consciousness experiencing that matter? The end idea being that the material universe as a whole is a physical manifestation of consciousness?

I’m good. Yeah I get it I’m trying to figure it out too. Being the sort of new liberal refuge I figured to find a spiritual community here but so far have had little luck.

Good to hear, how are you?
