Those conversations are exhausting and unproductive. Plus, biracial people did not create the “one drop” rule, so I was always confused as to why they are now being made to explain why it exists.

Fair. I get what you’re saying. Perfect world we don’t acknowledge race at all. And I think that was my point. That a culture conversation got mixed in with race because they share the same name. But that’s another discussion for another day.
