Good on @warinderjussmp.bsky.social sky.social for not directing people to x dot com!

Guess I'd better update the link on the Wikipedia page, so people can find his latest posts :-).

Good instinct to ask "did it actually get the right values & citation", yeah.

Wrong test case for the second question. Web search already reverses md5("azerty"); ChatGPT already had web search.

A better test case is md5("azertq") = 049a1794fc9d231b66ce0df382f13fd8 , which bing.com does not know.

When the IMF asks if you were perhaps a little hasty with the cuts... Simon would agree something was wrong :-).

> the current approach to prevention is “through the levy and not through regulation.”

Yeah, tax should be part of it & a rise is understandable right now. But also this is supposed to be a government that's happy to use regulation to achieve its goals, and this should be an important goal.

The thing I would take away is that we've had 7+ months with COVID at a steady low level (no winter peak), which has contributed to the overall low death rates.

Do you often call women wh*res in public?

Most frequently for powerful women, or for powerful men?

Is it a weapon used more by people who support women's power and equality, or by the enemy?

/dons flame-proof suit, for an idle and technical question:

So this thing is still evolving quickly enough, that it can happen to run out-of-phase with other coronaviruses and respiratory transmitted viruses? [ Graph source: ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk ]

Does it seem strange to you that the "summary" introduces facts which are not listed in the detailed paragraphs?

Higher deaths / severe adverse effects in older volunteers during one vaccine trial would have been bad, sure.

During the first EUA rollout globally? Dire.

How much does Insta hate to admit you can use it without an app? Enough to pretend that you can't use it on PC 🙄.

Apps: Just say no.

Q: "if that's true, then why don't employees come out and say their employer is wrong"
A: someone who does that is not going to be an employee any more.

But people don't want to understand it, so that doesn't get amplified, and the targetted harassment does.

Absolutely. There is some sort of opt-in heuristic spam filter there. I don't know how harsh it is, I just saw a big account that moved to Mastodon complained about not having an equivalent.
