At least they gave an explanation about why Xabarax is so different. He quite litterally is not, he is the other half of Dylan senior. But yeah, i see why someone would not like it, as many do not like other runs or single stories.

It is poetic how they got a happy ending,and could not stay there for the author, as Dylan and Groucho got a happy ending, and could not stay there for the author.

In all the flashback stories you see some of the relationship between Xabarax and Morgana. While you very rarely see any moment was not in the galleon, they still are drawn together. They got their happy ending in issue 100. Before everything was destroyed.
