A peek behind what's going on behind the scenes of the upcoming YouTube channel relaunch.

If I don't write it down I forget it and that wastes a ton of time when it comes to professional looking YouTube videos.

Merry Christmas everyone (except the asshole at Super Deluxe Edition!)

Script written. Assets created and collated. Recording starts tomorrow!

Buyer beware! Eight days ago I ordered Sam Fender deluxed edition of "People Watching". Still not despatched. Universal Music are crap. Admittedly they have hidden away a tiny notice saying "Allow 5-7 days for despatch" but even that's a lie.

Getting ready for our YouTube channel relaunch. Can you guess what our first major album review will be from the track by track image teasers below?

Today's arrival: 10th anniversary "coffee table" double vinyl edition of Twenty One Pilots "Blurryface". One of my Top 10 albums of all time which is only reason I paid rip off £90 from greedy @warnerbrosuk when US retail price is $80. They are a terrible company.

Trying to work out which of these three thumbnails to go with for our review of the new 2025 surround sound mix of Queen's debut album that comes out this Friday 🤔

Unboxed new reissues of Pete Shelley’s Homosapien and XL1 — vinyl, CD, the lot.
Not your average unboxing: high production, motion graphics, and a bit of AI madness thrown in too.

Meet "Wai Ai" - the AI researcher/co-presenter of our weekly album review on YouTube launching this weekend. Wai Ai presents a short impartial and balanced career summary of the artist whose album I go on to review in the somewhat more opinionated and sometimes ranty style as the bulk of the show.

Frustrating day with DaVinci Resolve crashing. Our 1st review (Sparks) should be ready for the weekend. Next in the pipeline for this month are Pete Shelly "Homosapiens/XL1", Queen "Queen I" Surround Blu-ray, Cure "Mixes of a Lost World" triple vinyl/CD and Yungblud's "Idols". Stay tuned!

The 3D Lenticular gatefold edition of Sparks new album "Mad!" is lavish and very good value for money. I just wish I liked the music more! Endlessly repetitive and lacking in decent melodies.

"Koko" has been a long time coming with half the album pre-released over the last year as singles, but it's finally here. Top notch pop from the top notch Lottery Winners. Hopefully, like their last album, straight to no.1.

Not the biggest fan of Lady Gaga. Have three of her albums and they rarely get played because "weak pop" isn't really my thing. However "Mayhem" does sound good and I think this one will last. Two LPs but one side is etched so just 3 sides that play.

FRESH MUSIC FRIDAY: The only album from today's releases I was interested in. A double LP and less than £30 Thanks to Netherlands' Music who are nearly always cheaper than any online UK supplier.

Enjoyed the first two Motorhead "50 year anniversary" limited edition released of "Ace of Spades" and "Overkill" that I had to get the third - "Bomber" - before it sold out!

Last update for my Beatles vinyl collection. Next up is "Rubber Soul" but with so many new releases in March and then Record Store Day in April it will likely remain on the "Wants" list until May.

FRESH MUSIC FRIDAY. Very much on a surround-sound theme this week. The new Atmos surround sound mix of Kraftwerk's classic "Autobahn", and the Deluxe version of the new Tull album which has two CDs, two vinyl LPs but, most importantly, the surround-sound Blu-Ray.

Slowly building my Bowie vinyl collection as the new half-speed master anniversary reissues are released. "Young Americans" is due out on Friday but my copy from the excellent Limited Addition Records has arrived two days early. Yay!

Really enjoyed this two CD continuous mix set of the best of melodic trance from last year, compiled by Armin van Buuren. So when the triple vinyl version was released at the end of February buying it was a no-brainer. Heaveyweight vinyl but no booklet - just a single sheet of background info.

Picked up a couple of surround sound Blu-Ray releases (new, sealed) on eBay. Really wanted Tears for Fears "Tipping Point" but price gouging on that title is insane. Too many unbelievably greedy scalpers buying up limited releases.

The latest issue of "Uncut" magazine is out. WHEN will UK music magazines wake up to the fact this is 2025 NOT 1972. We are just two months in and already two different magazines have featured tired old dinosaurs on the front covers that have already been done to death many times over.
