Authoritarian regimes of old would've killed for the digital panopticon we have today. Even if (big if) these companies resist this for a little while, they won't be able to hold out forever
The Intercept asked companies that store personal data if they will help Trump conduct mass deportations.

Apple, AT&T, Google, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Verizon, X and many others all declined to comment.

It's really cool that #bluesky is open source and all, but I can't wrap my head around why they'd choose the MIT software license. Are they not worried about the #tech giants pulling an "embrace, extend, extinguish"?

If someone has a good explanation I'd be very interested to hear it
