deconstruct what makes you feel this way. why are you in this rut? what's the source? is there something outside of art that needs to be addressed? might seem like generic advice, but this way of thinking has helped me a lot in the past to overcome creative obstacles.

i want my first release to be special, too, so if i had an unfinished album as my first, it would feel awful.
idk what to do other than not release anything until i'm finished with my current project, but that would put a year's worth of work into the bin. it's a hard choice to make. (4/4)

i made a cover for that single i mentioned, which makes me more inclined to release it, but there are better tracks in the album that don't have covers. worse, i can't make covers for those tracks since i can't think and write the way i did a year ago. (3/4)

i can't release the album because it's not finished. i don't want to release something half-baked. however, i can't work on it either. i can't connect with it anymore, which makes it impossible to write and conceptualize anything for the album. (2/4)

I'll listen back to my music and think "is this good enough?" Sometimes the answer is yes, other times not, even for the same things. I've grown indecisive and have lost my confidence.

I was always creating SOMETHING before. Something was always in development, whether it be my album or something else. Lately, nothing has seen significant progress in production. Small bits of development here and there, but nothing like the drive I had previously, that excitement of what's to come
