My husband says the same thing about my bread. So I started baking soft sourdough loaf. But if you heat the bread just for 15 seconds in microwave, the crust will become softer.

The texture of yours is like mine when I use only bread flour, it’s kind of glossy. But when add 50 grams of whole wheat and 50 grams of semolina in addition to bread flour, the glossiness is gone and the texture is much better.
