And waiting 20 min to charge on a road trip? If you just drove 200-300 miles, it's good for you and everyone sharing the road with you for you to take a 20 min rest.

A customer of mine talks about wanting an EV then goes on to lament how bad all the stations are except Tesla. First, charge at home and work (he can charge at work). Second, any EV can use Tesla chargers; whining about using an adapter is like whining about using a condom.

As a former XC MTB racer, I didn't know these were a thing. I want one of each.

While I agree with the position that the situation is ridiculous, I'm a weirdo that actually likes the Looney Tunes simplicity of a glove box that just blasts open.

That said, BMW has done seat extension/thigh support manually rather well, and I had a 98 Subaru Outback with a pleasant manual seat height adjust.

North American automotive lighting standards are lacking, enforcement of those standards is next to no existent, and even the simple practice of checking and adjusting headlight aim is unheard of among owners and mechanics alike. And trucks are beyond dangerously too big & tall.

Scratches (swirls are just another name for fine scratches) cannot be corrected out of matte paint. Prevention is everything with matte paint because the only way to fix damage is to repaint.

As undercarriage and salt goes, I don't offer this professionally, but hitting the undercarriage with Fluid Film or Woolwax before winter is a great bang-for-buck preventative measure. You can rattle-can Fluid Film yourself pretty quickly if you can get under your car and can handle a little mess.

Fair enough. I just wanted to raise my hand as an available option for info or service on the long shot you'd welcome it. I hate being on the receiving end of pushy business people, so I try not to be that way.

I'm a long time fan of your content and would just be happy to give you a free visit if you were ever interested in learning how to DIY it easier or if you would happen to want anything from me. I'm an anti-capitalist that hates selling; my advice is free so long as it is requested in good faith

I understand your defensive position given me being a business & you don't know me from any rando just trying to sell you shit. If you don't care how your car looks, I respect that. There are aspects of what I do that are about the health of the vehicle long-term and not just beauty.

Automatic touch washes have improved, but they will always damage paint. You drive in carrying your own abrasives. It takes a pretty specific approach to minimize damage even hand washing, and touch tunnels just aren't there, especially with owners chasing profit margins from such low prices.

Caring for cars, matte or otherwise, doesn't have to be as difficult as many fear with the right approach. If I understand your general location correctly, you are within service range of me, and I would happily meet with you for free if you're ever interested in service or just care recommendations
