Spoiler implied... And yes, I get the metaphor aspect of the movie. In that case, it's just pure heartbreak. I don't require happy endings for me to like a movie, and this film does have one sort of, but maybe the movie hits too closely for me. Is this what I'm doing to my own dogs?

I watched Good Boy tonight. Apparently, I'm fine when the supernatural messes with humans, but not when dogs are involved. It was good but a hard watch for me. And the ending was a bit of a letdown.

Yes, but he has a body that belongs in a cell. Nothing would make me happier than to see him in a jumpsuit that matches his face, picking up trash on the side of the road for all to see, living a long time in ignoring. A girl can dream.

Sad to say, but... meh. This entire series was not my favorite by McCammon. I just felt the entire series became too far-fetched. Either be more accurate for historical fiction or more supernatural for a horror series.
