There are no successful "socialist" countries that don't embrace capitalism. Though calling them socialist is quite a stretch as having a welfare state does not make a country socialist.

Socialist principles,.whatever that means , but in reality they are still capitalist countries with just roobust welfare programs.
There is no central planning , free trade still exists, the economy isn't state ownedor anything that would resemble a socialist economy.
