For the longest time, I had requisites for creativity. The right chair, the right beverage, the right pen, the right candle. Hell, even the right sweater. Then I realized my creativity couldn’t wait for perfect conditions. What do you absolutely need to be creative?

I consider myself a plantser. I write, plan, write more, etc. I'm beginning to question my choices. Terry Pratchett said, "The first draft is just you telling yourself the story." Have I taken it too far? Should a 60,000-100,000 word draft act as an outline? How do you write your stories?

I'm taking a month away from social media with the hopes of reconnecting with my creativity before continuing to build this community. Drink water. Do your best to get a good night's sleep.
