Dyed my hair your favorite shade of brown. You put the stars in my sky, my eyes brightened day by day. And the sky darkened with each day I realized you weren’t coming back. But it’s okay. I got used to the dim lights. They’re charming. Romantic. Like fairy lights in my favorite book shop. I made the best of chipped aqua nails and split ends. I renounced my religion. I’m spiritual now. Oracle cards and crystals. I asked the same stars that framed your body to keep me from asking questions that didn’t have answers. I found the energy that flowed through both of us and redirected it into purpose, into happiness, into beauty. So when you wake up one day, and miss the dream we were in. When life is moving too fast and you don’t know where you are. If you look, but I’m out of view. Don’t text. Don’t call. Don’t tell me. Keep it to yourself.

Singing felt like being with you…🎵
Loving you felt like singing my favorite song. When you came back I started singing again, but this time from my heart. And I realied that singing felt like being with you. Higher. Transcending. Spiritual. Out-of-body. My favorite feeling. My favorite person. My favorite song. Loving you felt like singing.
