Little known fact: She actually did face Elian in an earlier contest. It was back in 2013 at UFC 157. Gonzales's heavy reliance on Capoeria was no match for Higgins's mastery of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Elian tapped out in the 3rd minute of the bout. Obviously this was before her political career

The criticism is the cowardice of the press, generally. Whether it's to make a buck selling a book later, bow down to corporate overlords, or just run of the mill chickenshitedness, the press is failing us daily. The refusal to stand up for their own is one of oh so many examples.
