Really pleased to announce that a documentary I've presented and co-produced is going to be on BBC Radio 4. It's a shocking story of the state interfering in lesbians' home lives. Missing Pieces: The Lesbian Mothers Scandal will be live on Sunday 8th December at 1.30pm www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Too right those Samaritans posters have been put up. If we had a robust healthcare and social care system then assisted dying could be an option but ‘choice’ is no choice when it’s so inhibited. Can’t believe the debate’s happening before NHS reform under Labour has had a chance
Last night I saw a group of (presumably) anti-Assisted Dying campaigners putting up Samaritans suicide prevention posters, over Dignity in Dying (pro) ads in Westminster tube station

I'm very interested in followers' views on the Bill. This feels like one of those issues that is beyond left/right

I’d like to see the data disaggregated based on the level of the care people’s late parents received. Eg scummy overcrowded stinky care home or plush hotel level care home
This is very interesting in Sunday Times. Those who have lost a parent in their life are more likely to support assisted dying than those who haven’t. It’s intensely personal isn’t it - personal experience can shape views both ways.

Why is it going to be years before we all look back at the Wicked press tour and wonder how on earth it was allowed to happen? It’s sinister and I just hope everyone at the centre can get some rest and recuperation asap

Reform MP James McMurdock was jailed for repeatedly kicking his girlfriend.

He had told the media he was jailed for "pushing" his former partner in 2006.

Court records obtained by The Times say the sentence was given because of "the serious nature of the offence”.

At some point the government is going to have to question the platforms by which it informs its citizens and who benefits from their use of X
Keir Starmer told us en route to Brazil this week that he had “no plans” to join BlueSky but did say govt should go where people get their information ( he also -shock - said he didn’t write his own tweets)
