In 2026, I aim to read 26 books, completing nine book series. My selection includes fantasy, romance, and crime genres, featuring authors like Markus Heitz and Christopher Paolini. I’ll read in multiple languages: English, Dutch and maybe a bit of German. This challenge of favourite books to complete series, helps with achieving my Bronze Tier goal.

Today it's my birthday 🎉🥳 And it was a wonderful one with rays of sunshine and spending time with my dearest and closest family. The last day of November is always a surprise. Will it snow? Will there be sunshine? Will it be icy and cold or will it be nice weather for a good walk? I feel lucky to have had a birthday celebration again with good weather and good company. Earlier this month my dearest and I celebrated our birthdays with our friends so all in all the month November was a bit of new stuff, celebrations and lots of creativity and ideas too.

From sanding windows to hauling hundreds of kilos of attic debris, this summer and autumn were all about our house renovation. A tight and careful planning, help of family and friends, and a few custom furniture builds, we have transformed our house through phase 1 and phase 2. And after just a couple of sunny and snowy days; in just six weeks the new year 2026 is around the corner. Cozy winter time to tell this renovation story. The beautiful Mount Everest, the highest mountain of the Himalayas is a challenge. Not only for its climbers and inhabitants of villages at the base of the mountain. This series is raw and real. The helicopters are the highest and lightest helicopters flying in the world, at nearly 4000m height, from base camp to camp 2 and nearly camp 3. The pilots are one of the best pilots of the world with years of experience in other work fields flying a helicoper. The crew of the rescue teams also risk their lives day in day out.

When a film director and her crew are on a mission to film the 2014 season of the Sherpas climbing the Mount Everest. Several times a year they climb the mountain with a group of enthusiastic mountain climbers. Such a mountain is not for the faint hearted, not for the untrained and it is its pure nature: unpredictable and dangerous. Sherpa Purba Tashi has climbed the Mount Everest already 21 times.

On a Thursday evening in-between busy workdays, it is nice to play a small puzzle game. If you are familiar with puzzle matching games, making matches with at least 3 items in a row, this game will be easy for you to play. It is nearly Easter so the Friday Film day is one for a film about a rabbit. The famous Peter Rabbit and his adventures with his siblings and friends. Peter is mischievous, adventurous and has a lot of curiosity. This is what brings him sometimes nearly into trouble. In this 95-minute film shows one go his adventures. Will Peter Rabbit be alright? In my view This film is based on the famous book written by Beatrix Potter. The story is about lively rabbits Mrs. Rabbit, Peter, and the triplets: Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail, and nephew Benjamin Bunny.

In 2025, I embraced a new full-time job in technology, moving on from a challenging 2024. My schedule includes work, zumba, and orchestra rehearsals. Goals this year focus on personal health, creativity, and an ambitious blogging agenda, including reviews and mastering new skills.
