Watching the tsumami, my hair is grey and the knuckles on my hands are knobby. The waters of democracy have been receding for a long time and now the chaos and flood of broken things is here. I've seen too much...I am too tired to fight.

No...I've seen too much. I have to fight. We have to fight.
I have noticed an uptick in posts that are supposed to be from Musk but actually are not. People who create those on X make money for 'engagement'...it is actually their job. There are people who screenshot every post or reply that Elon makes so we can fact check even when he deletes posts.

Keep those masks on standby.

Elon can't do any government stuff right now because he is training his dog for a trip and the dog is really kind of stupid.

You know you are getting up there on the age chart when you still make yourself some microwave popcorn but you eat it one kernel at a time and explore it like it's some sort of landmine before biting down very hard because you have experienced a broken tooth at 9:00 p.m. before.

Still haven't made anything new in months...Sigh. But anyway...here is another piece I made with a textured copper backplate, brass for the 'splash', a copper fish head I formed with my hydraulic press using a steel die that is reproduction of an antique and a flush set CZ. Dat fishy is hungry!

Montana!
Montana’s Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a 2023 ruling siding with young climate activists who asserted the state government violated their right to a healthy environment.

Hey! Buh-buy Murder Hornets!
The WSDA said the agency alongside the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) “have declared the northern giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia) eradicated from Washington and the United States.”

I am trying to psych myself up to get back into the studio and make some new things by posting stuff I made in the last year or so. This is a copper trinket dish. The center is a copper piece I formed (using a reproduction steel die) with my hydraulic press, then sawed it out and soldered in.

Caturday...the tuxedo cat that adopted me a couple months ago spent a lovely afternoon snoozing away. The name I chose is now Max but I'm not sure yet if it is Maxamillian or Maxine.😜

So...I was reading the Time 'Person of the year' article online and snort laughed when I read this line:
'In the men’s lavatory, a picture of him with Arnold Palmer hung near the urinals.'

Every time I think I can't be any more horrified by the incoming administration I am immediately disabused of that notion. How the fuck are we even here? Go ahead big spenders and crap all over the environment. God I hate these people.

Elon has 'Primary Character Syndrome' and he thinks he is a hero.
The primary theme of Dune is Frank Herbert's warning about society's tendencies to "give over every decision-making capacity" to a charismatic leader.[3] He said in 1979, "The bottom line of the Dune trilogy is: beware of heroes.

When I'm not feeling horrified by the state of our political dumbfuckery at the present time...I make things. These earrings are made with copper elements I die struck using a hydraulic press and soldered. The cabochon is blue Paua shell. I call them 'Blue Moon Fox in the Hedgerow'.

I got adopted by a cat recently. This cat has been around the neighborhood for a couple years and very, very flighty. If you so much as looked his way he took off like a shot. I don't know why but he decided to pick my house so here he is relaxing belly up on the bed. He is big so I call him Max.

Also from 'The Hill',

Last month, Musk reposted a user who zeroed in on a little-known director of climate diversification at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and posted her name and salary. 33 million views. The named woman apparently shut down her social media accounts.

From conservative news site 'The Hill':

“Musk is a good fit for Trump because Musk clearly enjoys … vengeance and gets off on retribution,” said Matt Dallek, a political historian and professor at George Washington University.

Hey BlueSky...we need a way to block all of the spam bots telling us we won a "Surprice" box. LOL, they can't even spell surprise. They are everywhere today. Like a universal block on "Congratulations...click the link" function.
