Lovely rippled black sand dunes with a touch of frost on them. The edge of the dune leads the eye towards some orange grasses and then behind are lovely pointy mountains sticking up into the vaguely sunrisey sky.

I'm about to book a trip to NW Scotland, so I think I'm in the mood for some Scottish loveliness. Love the glimmer of light on the rocks. Congrats Dylan, another lovely image :)

I work in two different offices on my days in London - one has no natural light but okay coffee, the other has terrible coffee but such a cool view (although the self-cleaning windows are filthy!). Got the best seat today too as someone was off sick.

Another #abstract photo from my series of ICM grasses at the dunes at Stokksnes #Iceland, taken a couple of weeks ago.

After hiking to this glacier in grey weather, of course the sun showed up just as I left. The long zoom helped!

An iceberg sits in the surf at the Vestri-Fellsfjara beach at Jökulsárlón. Eventually the waves will destroy it and it will become just little pieces of ice. I love the transience of this place, but also love knowing that more icebergs will wash up with the next tides in its place...

It's often quite difficult to get a sense of scale with the icebergs at Jökulsárlón, so a man standing in a zodiac cruising nearby helps!

Waves coming off the basalt columns at Reynisfjara black sand beach. It's amazing that the camera technology is so good now that this was handheld at 1/8th second - the columns are sharp but I was able to capture the movement of the water too.

A tiny touch of sunrise light on the western peaks of Vestrahorn before it was lost behind the cloud and the glow disappeared. The touch of frost was still nice though.

Moonset and dawn in the otherworldly landscape of south-east #Iceland.
A black sand beach has some dunes with ripples on them as well as yellow grasses, with some light frost on the sand. In the distance is a big mountain on the right and behind some other mountains and glaciers are just visible. There is a blue and pink glow above the mountains from the earth's shadow as it is opposite the rising sun. The nearly-full moon can just be seen setting behind a cloud above the horizon.

There are some lovely roads in #Iceland. It's an awesome place for a road trip.
