Honestly, same. I have an entire FN AU on my Wattpad account made up of 6 stories, 7th one in the drafts, taking place in a specific FN season each, with Midas being the central character with Jules and later Jones alongside him.

And yet it's just gone under "Fortnite AU" for 5 years straight 🙃
These are never gonna see AO3, the first two stories are AWFUL in terms of presentation and writing. (NOT TO MENTION THE FIRST THREE STORIES, MY DUMBASS 15 YEAR OLD SELF SLAPPED A SELF-INSERT INTO THE AU 🤡). The third isn't any better but at least I can write about Midas falling for Jones without realising it.

One last thing. It's kinda poetic that 5 years ago today, Midas came to the game for the first time in a spy/heist season. And now, 5 years and a day later, he's returning in a similar themed season.

Very coincidental.

Either way, I hope he has story relevance again, not like in Myths and Mortals.

Gotta mention the two live events.

Both of them were firsts for me. Travis being my first concert event and The Device being my first story event.

I got lots to say for both, but the character limit hates me so, again, check the image ALTs for more.
Still one of the BEST storyline live events to come out of Fortnite. And keep in mind everyone was in quarantine due to COVID when this event was made, and it's on par with chapter 1 events from the past. It introduced us to the concept of The Loop, The I.O and Agent Jones. So while Midas failed in breaking the storm and unintentionally flooded the Island, he certainly changed the storyline drastically that day. The Travis Scott concert definitely gave me a good first impression of what live events were like in this game, considering I went to this one 3 times out of 5. 😂 Personally I do think that Chapter 2 Remix Finale has dethroned Travis as the best concert live event in the game. But it's hard to ignore that his event was one of the best concerts in the game at the time.

This is still my favorite season ever (with the Remix rendition a very close 2nd). Not just for nostalgia, but because of what it did for the game. The locations, henchmen, Bosses with powerful mythics, vaults. Collab skins in the BP, whether good or bad.

I'm so sad they don't do these unique lobby designs anymore. They did it for three seasons (CH2 S2, S3 and S4) and never did them again :( The Spy Locations were amazing, but I think we can agree that for a time The Agency was CH2's Tilted Towers. Everyone wanted Midas' overpowered Drum Gun. (myself included 😂) Not to say the other mythics were great too though. Skye's AR and Brutus' Minigun being the standouts in my eyes at The Shark and Grotto respectively. Meowscles' Peow Peow Rifle is okay, as well as The Yacht, but TnTina's Kaboom Bow and The Rig could've been a little better. Oh, and the music that played for each of these locations? ABSOLUTE FIRE. I still listen to them even today. Let's be real; Collabs skins in Battle Passes back in 2020 were mind-blowing! To have Deadpool as a secret skin, and just chilling in the plumbing system under The Agency was cool as hell. AND the fact when he was available to unlock, he kicked Meowscles off The Yacht and took over, giving it a DP themed makeover!! (Deadpool is still my favorite Collab Battle Pass skin, even today) Though, I feel Collab skins in the BP have lost their charm and just become the norm these days. I don't hate them, but they're definitely not AS exciting to see than 5 years ago. It's more of a "Oh cool. Well someone's gonna be happy to see them." That's just my opinion though. I LOVED being able to venture into each BP agent's room. It and the cutscenes preceding them gave the characters so much life and personality, something that Epic just doesn't do as much anymore. And of course, being able to choose and permanently lock in which bonus style you wanted for each agent. (Team GHOST baby! Well, except Skye.) Kinda funny by the end of the season I ended up picking the inverse of what the boss versions were 😂
