It's possible to be both heronful and heronless at the same time.

Thank you @ninearchespress.bsky.social @calebparkinpoet.bsky.social for including Night Noise in this issue. This poem started life in the Poetry Room. Stanza one was the first draft, stanza two the second draft, but I kept both in the end. I liked how they fit together with a turn in the middle.
