After missing the Black-Winged Kite two years ago I was happy to connect this time 🙂 was busy doing Run Norwich in the morning so I was pleased it stuck around all day. #NorfolkBirding

As always, RSPB Minsmere was quality for @sophgoesbirding.bsky.social and I yesterday where we were treated to not one, not two, but three (!) Roseate Tern, a couple of which displayed high over our heads and out to sea. Also 9 Spotshank and an adorable Green-eyed Flower Bee! #SuffolkBirding 😎

Cracking find today by Drew @djlbirding.bsky.social at Buckenham Marshes - a red-head Smew! Very random but very cool to see on a sweltering June day

✨ bad ✨ mental health day today so I took myself out to go and have a gander at this American Wigeon at the latest location on his North Norfolk coast tour. He tried his best to fit in but stuck out like a sore thumb 🤕 #norfolkbirds

Thrilled to see one of these yesterday in Thailand. The critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper. I’m unfortunately not here for birding but managed to get out for one day! #birdingthailand #birding #birdsofthailand

Last night I was thinking about the grey wag I saw from my house last year and decided it was probably actually a pied wag that I’d wrongly ID’d since there’s no water near me, but lo and behold, (after checking the date)
a year and a day later it’s back!

A lovely day for a WeBS count at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen with @sophgoesbirding.bsky.social. A good variety of birds across the reserve including a couple of showy Treecreeper and a flyover Yellowhammer, which is a surprisingly good record for the site. #NorfolkBirding 😄

Hard work in the icy wind in Northwest Norfolk today, but @sophgoesbirding.bsky.social and I were eventually rewarded with lovely views of Shorelark at Hunstanton and the Black Brant at Thornham, where we also relocated the Glaucous Gull. #NorfolkBirding 😄

Dipped Glaucous Gull this afternoon at Old Hunstanton but the ridiculously confiding Shore Lark were a suitable compromise. Also both LWFG (not pictured) and GWFG at Snettisham. #norfolkbirds
