Namjoon’s mouth tastes like stale alcohol and a cherry pie that someone had given him in general holding. He doesn’t know where Yoongi is, his tuxedo is wrinkled and stained, he hasn’t slept in 28 hours, and frankly he’s starting to question his life choices when he walks into bright sunlight outside the county jail.
Jail is different than prison. Namjoon would like to stay clear of both.
The wealthy can do a lot to make your world harder, Namjoon knows, bitterly well. He didn’t think he was going to make it out of that jail cell. So he’s surprised to be on the outside, blinking his eyes in the bright sunlight, instead of still rotting in general holding, or worse—moved into the county jail dark green jumpsuits.
It may be the worst that this tux has ever seen, rumpled at the knees and shoulders, crunchy with sweat in his armpits. He doesn’t even think a dry cleaner will be able to save it. Fuck. This was Tom Ford. Jin’s going to give him an earful about that.
<i>Speak of the devil,</i> Namjoon thinks, looking out at the stretch of street, where Seokjin leans graceful and fresh-faced against his Audi, sunglasses perched on his nose, <i>and he will appear.</i>
“Sweetheart,” Namjoon says, “darling. Jagiya.”

He's sure the Gazette was having a field day. <i>Alpha Whipped in Night Time Scuffle</i> or some other nonsense. He'd have to have Seokjin pull something scandalous from the archives just to make sure that he wasn't in headlines across town.
No, that was too much to hope. Maybe just that he wouldn't be the only headline across town.

A goblin is a thing that has taken too much life. Taken so much that the life seeps into the thing, and they aren't separate anymore.
Namjoon is a sword.
Once, most of him was a general who wielded the sword, loyal and fierce, proud and cursed.
But he was also a blade that fell in a field, thrown with the honorless corpse of that general, and laid there in human blood, in the wind and the rain. He has memories of that time, memories that have a different pattern from human time, that don't measure time in seconds or days or sunsets or winters. His human memories, most of them, are the general Kim Nam Joon. They hurt, like picking up a shattered mirror, cutting yourself on the edges. For years he picked them up over and over, trying to make himself numb to them.
These days he leaves them, like the broken thing they are, swept into a closet to gather dust.
Sometimes he wishes more memories were of the time as a sword.

Prompt: Vmin have one of those "if we're both single by a certain age we will marry each other" pacts but they're kind of antagonistic about it - intentionally sabotaging each others relationships (because they're actually in love) until one of them gets into a relationship with jungkook, and he's just too good, so they'll have to all date now.

"I would say that you have besmirched the honor of a woman far your superior," the man drawls, his fury still present, "But I'm not confident that you would be able to identify which one I was talking about."
Jungkook tries to give the man a consoling smile,
"Surely, my good man, I have not impugned your honor."
"You are not so stupid," the man looks at him again, appraisingly, but continuing on as if Jungkook had not spoken. As if Jungkook's charms were nonexistent. "As to forget the nature of your recent public shaming."

Korean. Young. Stupidly wealthy. The key to actual luxury, Jimin knows, is in the subtlety of it. The new money people, the chaebol kids he remembers from his youth and the pretty boys he sees here, with their Louis Vuitton monogram backpacks and Supreme bucket hats - that isn’t luxury. That’s a peacock's idea of luxury, conspicuous consumption as a status symbol. True luxury though, luxury like this Korean boy was wearing, has no brands. Money like this is a club designed to be recognized only by others who can afford the same. What are you wearing, it whispers? Is that watch worth a car, is that shirt worth a trip to a foreign beach resort with suites on stilts above the water? Could that necklace buy someone a new set of tits? True luxury was a t-shirt that cost more than a Parisian apartment.
