My favorite art is art that expresses humanity and human-ness.
That type of art is borne out of a need to capture a point of view in a snapshot of time.
If you are seeing what’s wrong at this moment in time. DO ART
Even if you are shit at it.
DO ART.
Your art and the world will get better.
This was supposed to be done last year…but now that it’s done, the world can right itself and humanity be at one with itself. Sorry for the holdout!

I hope there is a humanitarian revolution at the end of all of this. More art, music, kindness, longer tables, handwritten letters, stories, fairness, equality, hope.

“Worry is misuse of the imagination”
With Joann’s shutting down, I may have to use my imagination to make some trouble with my free time.
Come to think of it…there may be a lot of people with more free time to start trouble.

Closing Joann’s might be the start of a revolution nobody anticipated.

My favorite book. www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/2...
Mainland’s ability to perform his duties while entertaining the most extreme narcissist, is a master class in duty, service, patience, and highest standards of CYA.

And it is hilarious.
The Surrender of Napoleon
Being the narrative of the surrender of Buonaparte, and of his residence on board H.M.S. Bellerophon, with a detail of the principal events that occurred in that ship bet...

Written 102 years ago and still very powerful today.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

And , one more for the day…it’s been years since I’ve done any fine work. Questioning whether I still have the patience for it. Every season I put up a pennant banner that I’ve created- this will be the last one on my list…snowflakes on a grey field.
