Adelita Grijalva was on Nicolle Wallace’s show today and she said that one thing that has surprised her since she her swearing in is ‘how easily people lie’ - I believe she said this while speaking of the Speaker (she has a fair for understatement, no?)

AND no one could ever accuse “Pam” of having a scintilla of grace - but she’s still getting a paycheck even though countless other federal employees are waiting in line at the food pantry.

Pam Bondi is a disgrace to all lawyers- not to mention a disgrace to anyone who ever took an oath to uphold the law and the Constitution. (I am way too disgusted to come up with something clever to say about her vile performance today.)

When this nightmare is over I think that that the Kavanaugh moiety of the Supreme court should be tried for their knowing violations of the Civil Rights Act AND they personally should make reparations to the people impacted.

I don’t know why the Republicans are still receiving paychecks as they are not only not doing their jobs but they are not showing up (and lying through their respective teeth to boot).

I listened to an interview of Sen. Dusty Johnson (R. N. Dak.) today by Chris Jansing. The Senator answered real questions about the shutdown by repeating several times that shutdowns are “stupid,” reminding me of my sullen 10 year old reacting to enforcement of “stupid” family rules.

Why hasn’t Bove been disbarred? He’s the corrupt to the core and unfit to be a lawyer, let alone a judge on the 3rd Circuit. It isn’t too late, is it? As a lawyer who always stood by my oath, I am beyond disgusted.

Poor addled Chucky Grassley - for Trump, you debased yourself & betrayed your constituents, the Constitution you swore an oath to and the rule of law & made sure the most unfit Bove was confirmed, only to receive insults from the boss- & your feelings are hurt????? You are unfit.

‘We’re at war with Iran’s nuclear program, not Iran.’ No Iranian boots on the ground in Israel - would anyone say they’re not at war? Pearl Harbor? How stupid do Trump et al. think we are? Constitutional busting bombs…

If the BBB passes and if Medicare gets cut as a result, we should all seek redress from the Congressional Republicans for STEALING a benefit that we (working stiffs) & our employers PAID for via FICA…
June 7, 2025 at 2:20 AM
The Supremes have done it again- making me wonder what Leonard Leo has promised the so-called conservatives in exchange for their anti-American decisions. Really? Big Balls et al need access to all our sensitive info? Robert’s has lost all credibility.

One insidious aspects of making Trump’s 2017 tax cuts permanent is the huge estate tax exemptions (about $1.4M per decedent) that will continue to rise each year. One of the rationales for an estate tax is to prevent the accumulation of wealth in a small number of families (aka oligarchs)…

Sen. Chris Murphy (D., Conn.) suggested today on Nicole Wallace’s program that Trump & the Republicans don’t fear midterm backlash because Trump has no intention of ever allowing free & fair elections again. Many thanks to the Senator for confirming what all of us have been thinking.

Based on the information brought forth by Mr. Berulis - aren’t the actions of DOGE treasonous?
April 16, 2025 at 1:33 AM
With the announcement of the 90-day pause on some of Trump's tariffs followed up by his chilling executive order siccing Justice on 2 former government employees for the treason of telling of the truth - gee whiz I haven't thought about the House's plan to extend Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy...

Today as I listened to Karoline Leavitt refer to the trade deficit as “crippling” I wondered whether she (& possibly other WH types) are conflating the trade deficit with the fiscal deficit…or maybe they assume the voters are that stupid.
April 9, 2025 at 4:22 AM
Is there any doubt that the tariffs are just a vanity play by Trump? After all, we keep seeing that tape of "the Donald" as a young Turk espousing the same view of tariffs - it stands to reason that he was THE smartest person in the world then as he is now.

How can Congressional Republicans imagine that any respectable business would ever hire any of them after they are booted out of Congress given that they (respectively) are bereft of anything resembling a moral or principled character?
April 4, 2025 at 9:42 PM
Every time Pam Bondi attacks the judiciary by spewing lies, I wonder why she is still a member of any bar, particularly given the lies she spewed under oath during her hearings before Congress.

There’s a fix for the Musks and other oligarchs- when the Dems win back the majority in 2026 (hope springs eternal) then pass legislation to repeal Citizens United. Perhaps the majority will be such to override a veto (again, hope springs).
March 19, 2025 at 7:41 PM
Musk - who is so devoid of honor that he wouldn’t know it if it hit him over his numbskull - has called Mark Kelly a “traitor.” Musk vile mouth has no right to even whisper Senator Kelly’s name.

That tapping sound you’re hearing is the sound of the nails being hammered into the coffins of the careers of the Republican members of Congress…

There is reporting that Republican members of Congress are being cowed into complying with Trumpelon-mania for fear that Trumpelon will sic pardoned Jan. Sixers on them. Qu.: How come the Democrats aren’t afraid of this? Ans.: Something else is going on?
February 11, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Rubio just blamed “the workers “ for the chaos wrought by Musk & Trump - to paraphrase Rubio,: “we wanted to do this from the top down, but we ended up doing this from the bottom up” - yep, never were there truer words spoken by a member of the bottom feeders.

I still don’t understand how a lawyer avoids (at minimum) a reprimand by the ethics overseers of the bar (in Bondi’s case, Florida) - can someone explain?
