I was pissed more than anything - at it happening to begin with, then because I couldn't move for shit. I couldn't even do crutches, because the ones the ER gave me were too tall. Took a ton of the fun out of the match for me... I was miserable.

it could be worse. the night before the 2023 Blood & Guts match, i broke my ankle at work. there i am, having to sit on my couch in a splint (not even a brace or cast, because i hadn't been able to see an orthopedist yet, just the ER doc), trying to keep it elevated and hurting like a mofo.

I kinda get this. One of the guys I photographed in juniors, his dad coached the OKC AHL team for 4 1/2 years. Now he's an asst w/the Pens. I see him on TV behind the bench with Sid & Geno and think, "I've been in your house. In 2 different states. That's wild, lol"....
