I had fond - but very inaccurate - memories of this film when I made the age-inappropriate decision to show it to my adolescent and tween kids (decades after I had seen it last).

Cleta was elected as a Democrat in the Okla. St. House in 1976, 78, 80 and 82. She was eventually the no. 2 or no. 3 Dem. in the Hs. (when Dems. completely controlled the Hs.). But she saw the writing on the wall and decided to get the hell out of OK and remake herself.
