Once in a Western classroom students discover there are new. Students must learn what those expectations are then how to meet them.

This series introduces four (of eight) expectations Western teachers and professors expect from you. Meeting expectations starts with knowing what they are.

We come to a new culture knowing things are different there and that we will need to make some changes. There's the obvious, learn to eat with chopsticks say, and then there are the hidden, and far more important changes. This is a video of what I learned about change in a Chinese classroom.

I was an international student in Taiwan in 1985, and started helping cultures work, communicate and build relationships with each other in 1987. Instead of retiring I'm creating resources to help international students succeed as students, employees and friends. I make it easy to adapt and fit in.
