That % isn't tracked properly, because it includes numbers from incidents involving justified shootings and civilians shot by law enforcement. Itvs just a broad general catagory labeled homicides by firearm.

If the ultimate goal of a gun ban was to reduce the rate of murder, it failed. Access to guns dramatically increased and murder rates either went down or remained the same.

Look at the graph again. Gun control had absolutely no impact on the murder rate. Access to firearms does not make a population magically violent.
The increase in 2019 was caused by the economic downturn of covid. When times are good, and people are financially stable, they don't turn to violence.

Doesn't matter what trump said he would do. If someone is guilty of something, should the truth not be brought to light and should justice not be served? Hunter Biden committed a pretty serious gun felony. That isn't up for debate, it was proven and he is dead to rights.

Chart below shows the number of reported murders/manslaughters per year. Second chart shows number of gun sales processed each year. If gun control were effective, then why is it that when the assault weapons ban of 1994 got lifted in 2004, we didn't see any increase in murders until 2019?
