Yes prions are the cause of mad cow disease. Reading about mirror life bacteria reminds me of prions because of how terrifyingly dangerous they are. Prion diseases are a type of infection so foreign to any life form that there’s just no immune protection whatsoever against it.

Interesting share, I haven’t heard of mirror life before. My first impression is that mirror bacteria seem really scary, which immediately reminds me of prions.
