I choose the Fire starters unless I think the Water ones are cuter. Fire types are also more scarce per game than the other two imo. My favorite starter of all time is Mudkip, though.
I never choose Grass because that's way too many weakness to have as my main 'Mon. I only choose them in replays.

Looking at this he seems more subtle kitty-like rather than closer to it. Although he likes sleeping curled up in a sunbeam. And having his head scratched between his ears or behind them, so.

No, there isn't a way Korrine would've ever gotten gear like that since she was raised in Old Sharlayan. Plus, the Auri starting gear is more for Xaela than it is for Raen imo.
