For me, it's dry eye syndrome and gland dysfunction, but sometimes demodex mites are the cause and that requires different treatment.

Eyelid wipes like OcuSoft are great for soothing them and for prevention, and so is hypochlorous acid spray, just spray it on your eyelids and let it dry. If you have a recurring issue, seeing an ophthalmologist is a good idea, or your optometrist can maybe help figure out why.

A facial steamer is great too, or putting your face a careful distance over a pot of boiling water. If you have a small roller, you can gently roll it over the stye after you heat it up to encourage it to pop, or look up eyelid massage how to vids on YouTube.

Every Dr says "warm compress" but a hot, wet rag doesn't cut it. It doesn't stay warm long enough. Bruder eye masks that you can microwave are better, and USB heated eye masks are great too. You need to put heat on it for 15-20 minutes several times a day.
