i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”
basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

I’ve been thinking so much about how much happier or simpler my emotions were when I was younger. Funnily enough I wasn’t as free as I am now, but the complexity of what I know and how that makes me feel is something I do despise of and feel exhausted by at times.

I always think it’s funny that Kaveh acts like Alhaitham is the only know-it-all as if his huffy princess ass isn’t telling off every second person for some moral flaw or lack of care for aesthetics no one would pick up on save himself
