That's simply not true though. Speaking from my familiar Pennsylvania, we have been losing people to Florida for years now, but FL simply just has a higher cost of living and PA has plenty of cheap places to live not far from road infrastructure into the cities

But people aren't moving to the untamed wilderness, they're moving to urban areas in red states with costs of livings that are still high. And, if you want to live in the wilderness in a blue state there's plenty to go around with just as cheap cost of living.

There are blue states losing people with lower costs of living than say FL.
