I don't know how else to put it but to say the film has so many moments that feel so familiar because I keep getting deja vu from a number of things it obviously inspired. I watched a British TV show a couple months back with the same premise. #SpaceApeCinema

I've read how Kurosawa filmed sections of High and Low and it's like reading an Algebra textbook for film. No wonder it's so highly regarded today.
Its American release was the same week as the Kennedy assassination, so it had to age before getting a real chance in the states.
