I build & paint miniatures, mostly GW/Citadel. I also build terrain for sci-fi and fantasy games. I play board games, 40k/Necromunda and run/play D&D and other TTRPGs.
Roll initiative. Surprise! You're Dead!

And the green one? Section One (blue) and Section Two (red) released in 1991, and Section Three (green) in 1993.

Three of my most treasured GW books from my childhood, I adore flicking though these.

The red UK one from 1991 "Section Two". I've looked through the three I have and can't spot that other ogre...

From the same catalogue... Nice!

Bottom left is none other than the Ogre Captain Hrothyogg from Citadel.

I'll second that. I love the "lonely figure in an otherworldly environment" composition - I think they would make wonderful set of cards to inspire GMs and storytellers.

Nice to see your copy of Chasms of Malice is also inexplicably 6mm shorter than the rest of the green-spined editions...

This infuriated me more than it should have in my youth, even more so than the later books not having a number on the spine (which I rectified with tiny green stickers and a pen)

Just finished a re-read myself. It's been a while, and I'd forgotten the twist. Now I have to read it again. Amazing book.

The precursor to Necromunda, a crunchy skirmish game that introduced the setting. The background and (incomplete?) rules were spread over a few White Dwarf issues in the early 90s.

Strangely enough, that house is up for sale right now, and noseying though it on Rightmove's VR tour (it was a BIG house) was almost as a big of a nostalgia hit :)

Oh I feel that... my entire collection was left at a friend's house. We drifted apart, grew up, he moved house... I have my Advanced Heroquest but no minis, and all my 40k stuff is long gone.

My attic delve a few years back only yielded some chewed up Battle Masters stuff :(

The Books of Earthsea: The Complete Illustrated Edition, by Ursula K Le Guin, I think.

Saw this the other week, told my wife, and said "You know: Kylie, Jason Donovan, Rick Astley..." Caught an evil look from Mr Waterman so I slinked away. Kids loved driving the trains though :)

Yes! Sadly all I have left of it is the card sleeve and, for some reason, the "Rope" card inside it.
