Canadians used to be able to take road trips in US. Not now. Gone are the days you could roam and stop when tired or what town inspired you. Now border agents want proof of where staying, proof of accommodation bookings.
Buy THE LAST AMERICAN ROAD TRIP at Left Bank Books! You can get it signed and help out a great independent bookstore affected by the St Louis tornado. Their review of the book below -- and a link to order here: www.left-bank.com/product/sign...

And not many study history.
There are 21 year olds who are alive today who don't have any significant memories of life and politics pre-Trump. There are also 30 year olds alive today who have no memory of life and politics pre war on terror. We literally have generations of youth who have normalized madness.

Is it better to have known the world before all this horror and miss it, or not to have known it at all? That’s the question.

I called Canadian Premiers Doug Ford and Wab Kinew today as we try to find a way through this unnecessary and costly trade war.

While the President may not value the partnerships that contribute billions of dollars to our economy, Minnesota does.

Sadly, their administration is now our enemy and we should not be naive.
On 6 June 1944, while Americans were fighting at Omaha Beach, Canadians were fighting at Juno Beach. Our brothers, who fought and died by our side – who helped us defeat Fascism, are not our enemy. They are our true friends. Canadians are our brothers and sisters and I stand with them 100%.

The fact that Canada did NOT have US banks on our soil is one of the things that protected us from the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis. Letting them in makes us vulnerable.

What Americans need to understand is that Trudeau is wayyyyyyyyy nicer than the average Canadian. He’s softer than his father, his constituency is ready to throw hands 🙌 and he is under major pressure to shut the electricity off— unions are threatening to do it without an official order.

You know how I feel about him.

There’s nothing I could say about him that you don’t already know.

But as this next chapter of our nation begins, I just want you to know:

I am going to hold you responsible.
