The world ought just forget about trading as much as possible with the US. If the tariffs kick in there will be plenty of opportunities to trade elsewhere.

Serious question. In Australia we have a parliament through which changes to law are introduced and debated before being passed or rejected. What is the role of congress in the USA now? Call me naive but how is it the the president can sign executive orders and it’s done. Please educate me.

We in Australia have just transferred $800 million to the US as a part payment on our submarine purchase, 3 days later we get slapped with a 25% tariff on our steel!!! We have a free trade agreement in place. Nice doing business, fuck Trump. I really hope out government stands up to this bullshit.
