It is incredibly disheartening. But we are so grateful for the injunction that reinstated all the terminated grants which allowed us to finish these outputs. We would have published them regardless, but I’m glad we got to wrap the project as intended and compensate our team as planned.

The only way out is through and at least we have each other. And it’s not pithy to find strength in the realization that we are truly are in this together.

And we DO have power - and immaterial things that cannot be taken away.

Everyday, I’m exchanging messages with colleagues around the country and am utterly chilled to my core about what I’m hearing.The budget cuts, the job losses, the censorship, the disruption/erasure of community based collaborations and initiatives -is staggering/overwhelming and hard to comprehend.

We’re still going! We have an upcoming institute in Seattle and are hoping the funding situation pans out in the future for more training events. 🤞

I think some of it concerns perceived safety issues and not walkability. Which is also stupid and disheartening. (And takes the real fun out of Halloween!)
